We had an amazing two-day stay at Jharna Resort in Navegaon! The proximity to the jungle created a wonderfully positive atmosphere that added to the charm of the property. The spacious rooms were not only comfortable but also exuded a positive vibe, making our stay truly delightful. The hospitality was exceptional, with a courteous staff always ready to assist with a genuine smile. One of the highlights was the delectable food – a diverse range of cuisines for both lunch and dinner, offering something for every palate. The availability of WiFi in designated areas and certain rooms was a thoughtful touch, catering to the needs of corporate travelers or anyone requiring a productive workspace. The resort's commitment to guest enjoyment was evident in the array of activities available, from archery to indoor and outdoor games, ensuring there was never a dull moment. The meticulously designed swimming pool area provided a refreshing retreat. Our overall experience at Jharna Resort was beyond expectations, and we look forward to choosing it for our future stays. Kudos to the entire team for creating a memorable and enjoyable retreat!

Amazing place nestled in the scenic forest area.Gives the true vibe of Jungle stay.We had tiger sighting along with other animals and birds during the Jungle safari here. Rooms in cottages are relaxing, spacious and very clean. They have lovely pool area too. The meals are delicious and plentiful. The kitchen staff is always on hands for your needs . Excellent hospitality along with personal touches from the other staff too. Definitely recommend this Jungle paradise to nature lovers. Sure to visit this place very soon.

The experience in Jharna was worst this time. We have a jungle safari from Navegaon gate so I took my friend and family for lunch here, the experience was worst and horrible. I had already booked the buffet for 8 adults and 4 kids and amount was paid in advanced. When we reached and started for buffet, almost all the items in the buffet were finished and they are not refilling any item. After requesting multiple times, only one veg item was refilled that too with small quantity. No one had a food properly and went for safari unhappy and wort part is we do not sight any tiger. Going forward, I would not recommend this resort to my friends or any relatives or anyone for sure. Instead there is new resort opened, will start recommending that one.

Pros: -location - resort is in nature and it’s very close to Navegaon gate, so peaceful and good location -dining staff were very good -food was ok Cons: -rest of the service was horrible. Rude and unprofessional -this place is very price gauge-y. The prices I was initially told were not honoured and extra charges were added to everything. When I was given a final bill, it was more than I expected so I asked to see a breakdown and sure enough, it was a lot more than it should have been. When we were checking out, we were told there was an extra rs. 388 charge and when I asked what it was for, they said it was for the water bottle that came with our breakfast…we had left a few hundred Rs. extra when we paid for a meal and they did not account for that in the final billing. Please look at your bills before checkout and know that you will have many extra charges and fees during your stay here. -we had a cottage and it felt a bit dank and some areas not very clean, including the bathroom. There is a lot of potential here given the excellent location and the infrastructure they have in place, but it is not very well maintained and the service is poor (except the kitchen/food staff who were great). Overall, poor value and poor experience. Next time I would stay elsewhere.

Jharna's primary advantage lies in its proximity to Navegaon gate, contributing to the elevated room prices. While the location has the potential for a remarkable hotel and amenities, mismanagement currently poses a threat to its potential success. Regrettably, the dining experience falls short, as exemplified by a 7k rupees investment in a buffet lunch, dinner, and breakfast. The establishment employs tactics to entice guests into pricier room options, falsely claiming greater distance from the restaurant. These strategies can be deceptive, do not fall prey to these tactics. The food is subpar, costs are excessive, and the rooms suffer from inadequate maintenance. For ex:- The normal chapatis are very thin and cost 40rs. A concerning incident occurred upon arrival when pathway lights caught fire due to a short circuit. Despite notifying the reception, the staff responded without appropriate fire safety measures. A request for a fire extinguisher was met with a lack of preparedness and no training in basic fire-fighting training. Avoid at all cost

room: sapphire cottages were spacious and well maintained. only suggestion is to make geysers work properly food: buffet system good variety and tasty food, breakfast packed for safari was also good location: very close to navegaon gate, so if you are booking safari through navegaon gate its excellant location. however if u are booking safari through other gates they will be 45-120 minutes drive. and the roads are horrible. staff and managers: mrs bhagyashree did the booking prompty however could not give me clear information about status of safaris, local resort managers mr raj, mr sachin were nice and hearing. however we had few tense moments with them due to the lack of surety of our safari bookings. head chef was ready to comply with our food requests. good staff. safari: i stayed 23rd to 25th December 2023. and booked the stay around 30days prior to the visit. the reason i booked jharna was firstly i have stayed here before and secondly they seemed to be the only one who were offering possibility of booking safari. though they committed to me one core and two buffer zone safaris they were able to give me only 2 buffer safaris. both from sirkeda gate which which was 60minutes drive from the resort. we had 1 tiger, 1 leapord and few varieties of deer sighting. iam not sure if the resort is to blame for this or maharashtra govt. but i feel more needs to be done to ensure people staying in local resorts and have come from far off places need to be given priority to do safari from gates closest to resort. resort people told me that in this peek season safari bookings need to be done 2-3 months in advance. i dont think many people can plan short weekend getaways 2-3 months in advance. due to which there is too much last minute chaos to know if the safari is confirmed or not. people go to tadoba not for the resorts but for the safaris. i think govt needs to give the local resorts and hotels the ability to provide there customers gaurenteed safari atleast from the gate closest to the resort. there was too much confusion about the status of our safari which created few tense moments for us and few arguments with the resort managers. which was avoidable. i would request the resort owners to look into discussing this with the govt people and make some arrangements. i visited from telengana and the most noticeable thing about our road journey was the drastic change in quality of roads the moment state changed from telengana to maharashtra. the highways and the local tadoba roads are pathetic. bringing your own vehicles may cost you a bomb to repair your car after return!!!! the roads are soooo bad.

This place has a wonderful location surrounded by lust forest and has so much potential but it is NOT well maintained at all, sadly. The room looked gorgeous at first and seemed clean but the bed linens were filthy. The thin mattress only had one thin sheet covering it and I woke up the next days with BED BUG BITES!!!! (I was the only one bit out of 5 rooms of people but i checked the mattress the next morning and it was BLACK and dirty around the seams..I should've checked at night.) The pool was really dirty and GREEN with algae and standing water, the splash area was unclean with way too many malfunctioning spouts, and the hot tub was hazy standing water. While a few staff got the splash area to function and turned on the pool fountain, even the furniture around the pool area was 50% broken with chips and cracks. The food was okay. The grounds are full of plants (and also natural insects) but the lights went out while we were there and the pathways had no working back up lights so it was pitch black until power came back. The wifi ONLY works in the reception area (just a helpful hint). They had a playroom too but again with old, broken equipment. While we made use of everything and had a great time because of our company, this place could be a major destination for nature lovers and international travelers bringing in so much money IF they can spruce up the place more and keep it that way. The ad photos make it look absolutely blissful but the experience was of a rundown, has been place. I hope someone sees this who can effect change there because I would love to be a regular visitor but not with these current conditions.
